Position Description:

Summary

The Brokerage Assistant works primarily with our team located in Raleigh and offers support to the Charlotte team.   The focus of the role is on commercial real estate brokerage and development as well as the broader corporate Lincoln Harris brand function, responsible for a broad range of marketing activities including marketing collateral, digital/e-marketing, multimedia content, events, and communications. The role requires generalist marketing knowledge and some previous exposure to the commercial real estate, asset management, finance, and/or institutional investment industries. In addition to marketing duties, this person will also be involved in brokerage support and day-to-day office administrative duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing and Brand

  • Create, produce, assemble, and organize marketing materials including online listing websites, brochures, leasing flyers, signage, pitch books, presentation packages, and other collateral
  • Develop outstanding pitch strategies and materials; write content for client presentations, flyers, proposals, and RFP responses
  • Assist senior level brokers with canvassing new clients, space showings, property searches, tour books, etc.
  • Maintain and manage current market research, lease and sales comps, and deals in the market to aid in business planning and strategy development
  • Coordinate and plan creative brokerage events including but not limited to event registration and tracking
  • Develop and maintain broker and owner contact lists
  • Create and disseminate press releases (new hires, awards, deals)
  • Track marketing efforts of competing firms and suggest fresh marketing ideas to brokerage team
  • Understand business objectives and transform to effective marketing messages
  • Update materials, sites, etc. in a timely manner to ensure most current information is being published
  • Provide timely information to requestors (LH brokers, brokers from other firms, general public, etc.)
  • Handle other duties as assigned

Operational/Administrative

  • Assist with planning and disseminating internal announcements
  • Manage printing, storage, and shipping of marketing materials
  • Maintain and manage industry events and memberships attendance and calendar
  • Coordinate collateral materials for branch locations (stationery, etc.)
  • Database input and maintenance
  • Prepare general correspondence, memos, proposals, agreements, charts, research, etc.
  • Handle other duties as assigned

 


Position Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign) as well as Microsoft office skills
  • Experience working within/knowledge of/interest in the commercial real estate and/or asset management industries
  • Highly collaborative, communicative, organized, and able to prioritize when presented with multiple projects
  • Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and desire to understand the desired goals of the team and firm
  • Proficient writer with ability to adapt tone and create text as needed
  • Superior proofreading skills
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, self-directed self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a complex organization
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, think independently, and challenge/escalate issues in an appropriate manner
  • Public relations experience helpful
  • Knowledge of email marketing programs and graphic design a plus
