Position Description:

Assist with commercial real estate acquisitions and development transactions primarily focused on Excel and Argus based analysis of potential real estate opportunities; support other activities as necessary for the team


  • Perform complex financial and operational analysis to support short- and long-term strategic plans, operating budgets, and transactions
  • Evaluate data, prepare forecasts, analyze trends, and present results pertaining to operations, projects, leases, and other areas
  • Create presentations utilizing charts, graphs, maps, and models relative to the operations of Real Estate Services to be shared on an executive level
  • Financial modeling for various scenarios and the overall impact to the portfolio for acquisitions and dispositions
  • Complete complex financial analysis using Argus valuation models and Excel-based cash flows and proformas
  • Conduct new project feasibility financial analysis
  • Assist with the analysis of internal rental rates consisting of lease rate costing, pricing, and interdepartmental allocations
  • Assist with annual and quarterly forecasting of revenue and operating expenses
  • Carry out financial analysis at various levels of complexity to determine performance comparisons using IRR, NPV, and ROI
  • In partnership with our Marketing team, create presentations/packages in Power Point and/or InDesign to be presented to leadership as well as client driven requests
  • Assist with due diligence process by reviewing leases, contracts, budgets, etc.
  • Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools
  • Conduct market research
  • Maintain database of sales and rent comps
  • Track properties for sale
  • Provide light administrative support to Project Management team
  • Handle other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Real Estate
  • 1 – 3 Years of experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate
  • Strong financial analysis experience with the ability to construct complex financial models
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions and the desire to learn and grow
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel; prior experience with Argus is extremely helpful; InDesign experience preferred
  • Experience with integrated financial systems and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint) programs
  • Ability to work under pressure, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to be flexible to handle multiple and changing priorities; sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable interacting with all levels of leadership
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a proactive approach and a readiness to handle Client concerns and processes as well as unexpected emergencies
  • Real Estate license preferred; willing to obtain
