Position Description:

This is a part-time (20 hour/week), entry level position

SUMMARY
Work with the Engineering team and Facility Manager performing scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance work in support of the building and tenant operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Replace light bulbs, ballasts and air filters as assigned

Complete monthly seating chart audits

Perform monthly PM’s of building equipment as assigned

Perform minor plumbing repairs

Pickup and remove litter and debris around building and parking areas

Assist as needed with record keeping/audit for building access cards and keys

Insure shop areas, mechanical, and electrical rooms are kept clean and orderly

Escort vendors as needed

Assist with cubicle/office moves, parking issues and conference set setups and tear downs

Interact with tenants on a daily basis in a professional manner

Maintain working knowledge of building controls to include: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, building access,
security, fire and elevators

Handle other related duties as assigned


Position Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

6 months experience in building maintenance (preferable)

Enrolled or actively seeking to participate in a trade school education program

Valid driver’s license if operating company vehicles

Basic working knowledge of work order system

Experience with VISIO or AutoCAD preferred

Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with tenants, vendors, employees and visitors.

Ability to read and write English in order to understand manuals and procedures and to write reports

Basic a/c trouble-shooting skills

Minor electrical skills (i.e. changing ballasts)

Ability to operate gauge readings

Physical Demands – must be able to:

Lift at least 30 lbs.

Work from heights,

Hear and understand radio communication

Verify colors
