Chip Mark is a Senior Vice President of Retail Development for Lincoln Harris. Mark
focuses on new retail development opportunities and the acquisition of distressed
retail properties in the Carolinas.
Previously the co-founder and partner of the commercial real estate firm MarkPiercePoole
Properties, Mark focused on the development of single tenant retail buildings, neighborhood
shopping centers and community centers, and handled brokerage and leasing services
for all retail property types.
Throughout the course of his real estate career, Mark was responsible for the development
of nearly two million square feet of retail property. Prior to co-founding MarkPiercePoole,
Chip was a partner at Childress Klein Properties from 1988 to 1997, and a marketing
principal at Trammell Crow Company.
An ACC Honor Roll graduate of the University of Virginia, Chip earned his Master
of Business Administration (MBA) at the Tulane University School of Business. Currently,
Mark serves on the Board of Trustees at Woodberry Forest School and Park Sterling
Bank, and is a trustee for the T. Rodney Crowley Scholarship at the University of
Virginia. From 1997 to 1999, Mark served as Executive Director of the Charlotte
Regional Sports Commission.
He was named a Top Retail Producer by the Carolina Region Commercial Board of REALTORS®
(CRCBR), and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina, South Carolina,
Virginia and Georgia.
